What is your teaching assignment?
Librarian - technology and information literacy
A little about you
I love libraries and technology - especially emerging technologies. I work with kids and have the summers off. My own bio teens show me a lot about how teens use the internet and web technologies. My son has turned our house into a nightclub this summer with his DJ practicing around the clock. Can you say Drum n'Bass? Both my lives are quite exciting - RL and SL.
Hobbies or activities?
Reading, writing exercising, walking the beach, visiting with friends,

Tech Share 2007

I have just returned from the PNAIS Tech Share (Pacific NW Assoc. of Independent Schools) held high in the mountains near Leavenworth, WA at a lovely retreat site called Sleeping Lady. It was gorgeous up there. I will share a FLIP video with you soon. We talked alot about Web 2.0 programs and how social networking is changing the expectations our students bring with them to school.

What a wonderful retreat! We need that "captured time" away to really process the amazing web 2.0 possibilities!

What a powerful two weeks of camp, absolutely amazing really! I loved teaching using NING. I made the rule is they tried to hand anything in on paper they will fail the class!
I like the uncamp idea, but must keep the fun part of camp!

Mark: we need to have the on-going "uncamp" right here in our network.

Here's a suggestion for an agenda item:
-- Does anyone know of, or should we set up, a mega-site for teachers to document how they are using Web 2.0 tools in their curriculums.

Thanks so much. I have enjoyed tip-toeing into your class. What is happening on the internet is so extraordinary. I can barely keep up. Hopefully I'll see you in-world MegWriter.

Testing Notes on Tech Camp

Just in from my Twitter network that this notes section will act like a wiki, I am here to investigate and think about how I can use this as part of tech camp.
