Stonemasonry students placing and finishing concrete
This is one of my first attempts at recording a class activity. It was fun trying to set up the camera as well as showing students how to concrete. Do you notice how they stand with their backs to the camera like stockmen in front of a campfire on a cold day?

Comment by Simon Brown on June 28, 2007 at 2:08am - Yeah Meg, that's me in the big hat. I forgot to take my earmuffs off too. I've been very cautious about pointing a video camera at people because they often shy away, but the way the students are standing about here shows how quickly people forget about the lens. Funny, too. Three of them started playing up despite warnings while the camera was recording. That settled the argument.

Welcome and glad you are here with us! Is that you in the middle? After you show this video to your students I will guess they will not stand with their backs to the camera!
This informational video is great background knowledge for my many home improvement projects!
