Luanne1991 1 week post camp

What a terrific week in camp! My mind has been racing with ideas for usage of the information I obtained. Ways to get discussions going around a topic, modeling appropriate behaviors or a new skill, and monitoring progress of learning a health skill! I have been waking up early just excited again about health teaching! What a gift Meg gave each of us! Continue

Kathleen Johnson Tech Share 2007

I have just returned from the PNAIS Tech Share (Pacific NW Assoc. of Independent Schools) held high in the mountains near Leavenworth, WA at a lovely retreat site called Sleeping Lady. It was gorgeous up there. I will share a FLIP video with you soon. We talked alot about Web 2.0 programs and how social networking is changing the expectations our students bring with them to school.

Greg Noack Thursday

Today was a good day. We transfered our story board to small white boards that I have and took them to the computer lab. We starred parts of our storyboard we thought should have text or audio commentary, then we began to type. For two students this was again awesome. They got down to work, were on task, and wrote more than they ever had before in about half the time. One student struggled, but I wasn't too surprised by this, he is a perfectionist and struggled with what to do.

pdowda School

I teach foods 1,2,and 3 at harlem. There are 6 teacher and we cover a verity of areas. We are a very departmental school. Every department has it own office with refrigarator, microwave, sink, table and cuberts. We are all very independent of each other. I am not fond of this set up.

I like all the people I teach with they are a great verity of ages groups in the department but we learn from each other and express different view points. (interesting) I enjoy most of the people in my bu…

Greg Noack Creating a tour of our school with summer school students

I am so lucky to have taken Meg's class last week. I am teaching summer school and I now can implement the ideas immediately with my students.

We are going to make a movie tour of our school for new students. I am not sure if it will ever get used, but I don't really care, this is too fun.

I started today asking the kids what kind of movie they wanted to make ( I love giving kids choices). We talked about acting out a scene from Mouse and the Motorcycle, which we are r… Continue

Luanne1991 Opening Up

Welcome to my page! I am a School Nurse who is looking forward to the Tech Camp! What a great way to learn new things and refresh skills. As teachers each year you have to listen to the blood borne pathogens talk. Don't you think you would like to have it done in a PhotoStory attachment instead of time in a meeting??? let me know.... Greg Noack Trial post and my website.

Hello everyone. I am writing this as a trial to see how it works. I am specifically wondering if, after it's posted will it appear in my own network I created or only here.

But I am also looking for some reviewers. I am laying the foundations my classroom websites. This is my third website I have ever created and, if you have ever created one before, you know that a lot of forethought can safe so much time later. So, help me out. Let me know what you think of:

Jackie Steinbach Reflections Day 3

A day of a lot of "learning" or at least searching for it. Jennifer is a great partner to be working with. I do think if we ever get a piece of software to do the green screen thing, we have a good idea that will be very cross curricular and fun on top of it. Continue

twingirls First Day

The tech camp was great today. We were able to work at our own pace and still learn a great deal. I really like the social networking page you set up for us on ning. I am very interested in planning my curriculum map for the school year. I have used the template that you set up for my curriculum map. I felt I learned so much today and was still able to set up something that I can use for the school year.
