I had no idea what RSSV was. Rich explained to us briefly what it was. As I was watching it I wasn't listening for vocabulary words. What an excellent way to model the importance of frontloading.

We were unfamiliar with blog...the actual definition...also technorati, podcast...they were things we'd heard of...but we didn't know actual definitions. I want to learn more about ALL OF IT. :)

I was interested in the websites listed that were new to me. I will look up technarati.com and even the you tube site. I know that some of the words were new to me, but through content I was able to make a guess at the meaning.

Patrick knows everything and I'm pretty much clueless. Honestly, how can you keep up with all this technology and still have a normal life?

To our group technorati was a new word. It is also good to know that Google and Wikipedia are not bad words.

I had heard many of the words before but never really knew their meaning until today. The words podcast, technorati, delicious, dig, wikipedia and even blog are all new to me. I went to wikipedia and actually looked them all up. I can now say I understand and can use these new words to teach my students.

The websites Digg, technocrati, and del.icio.us were new to me. I had heard of them, but have not had time to explore them or found a use for them. (there is only so much time in a day). Some of us were new to podcasts. simple mp3 files.

I would like to know more about del.icio.us. What is it and how to use it.

We were familiar enough with most of the terms, although not intimately. Most of the new, Web 2.0 items seem geared toward networking with other people in some way, which we don’t really do much (unless you count eBay.) So, we have more of a passing, academic knowledge of much of this, but not a real practical, “I use this every day” sort of knowledge. Perhaps more scary than that, I’m not sure how much we want to be immersed in the new Web 2.0.

To tell the truth, I couldn't mentally leave the Soeren Palumbo video so I really didn't absorb the Web 2.0 video.

Testing Notes on Tech Camp

Just in from my Twitter network that this notes section will act like a wiki, I am here to investigate and think about how I can use this as part of tech camp.
